Journey With Jesus 365নমুনা
The Parable of the Laborers in the Vineyard powerfully illustrates a crucial truth: it is not the duration of service or the prominence of one’s position that determines one’s reward. Instead, the reward is based on faithfulness to the task God has given, no matter how small, brief, or seemingly insignificant it may appear.
One preacher shared this insight: "I have always believed that one day the Lord will reward a humble woman who was part of my congregation. I might turn to someone on my staff and ask, 'Do you know her?' They might respond, 'I’ve never heard of her. She didn’t sing in the choir, she never led any of our societies, and she didn’t teach Sunday school. She didn’t seem to do anything noteworthy.' Yet, we would see the Lord greatly rewarding her. We might then discover that this woman was a widow who raised a young son, not speaking to thousands as a well-known preacher might, but faithfully ministering to her child. The widow was diligent in fulfilling the task God had called her to.
Some might say, 'She didn’t work as hard as I did!' While that may seem true in their eyes, God’s reward is not based on the volume of work but on faithfulness to the calling. The question we must ask ourselves is: are we being faithful to what God has called us to do?"
How do you measure success in your daily life? Is it based on external accomplishments, or on the quiet, consistent faithfulness to the tasks God has given you?
Are there areas in your life where you feel overlooked or unappreciated? How does the promise of God’s reward for faithfulness change your perspective on those moments?
Do you find yourself comparing your work or calling to that of others? How can you refocus on your unique path and trust that God values your individual contributions?
How do you respond when others receive recognition for their work while yours goes unnoticed? What can you learn from the parable about the true nature of reward in God’s eyes?
