Growing Your Faith (And Baby) During Pregnancyনমুনা
As the third trimester ticks away, I get more and more excited to meet my little girl. Sometimes, I even get a rush of pure love and excitement, just thinking about holding her in my arms.
Even though labor isn’t the fun part of pregnancy, I look forward to those first real contractions because I know this means she’s almost here. Each day, I am closer to seeing her little face. This time overwhelms me with curiosity and wonder as to who she will look like.
At some point during the second trimester, oxytocin definitely started to kick in. I believe that God gave us this love hormone, to help prepare us to meet our baby. This is why we start nesting and desperately wanting to prepare for our baby.
God designed us with the instinct to nurture and care for our child. It’s part of who we are and how He made us.
In Genesis 1:27, it says “in the image of God he created them.” What I love about this verse is that it reminds me that I was made in the image of God. Meaning, that nurturing and caring for His children is part of His character.
As you continue to prepare for the arrival of your baby, soak up every moment. Let your love hormones lead you, because this is the very way, God is preparing for us to meet our baby.
