Growing Your Faith (And Baby) During Pregnancyনমুনা

I was pretty convinced we were having a boy, right after we found out we were expecting. I didn’t really question or second guess that “maternal instinct.”

Just after our 9 week ultrasound, my heart knew we were having a little girl. Something flipped a switch in me. My husband thinks it was all the wives tales, but I still believe I just knew.

A few weeks later, we had some early testing done and found out the gender, surrounded by our friends and family. We anxiously waited to see pink or blue……. And it was a baby girl!

Although I hadn’t met her, I felt like I already knew her. I didn’t know what her sweet little face would look like or the personality she would share, but somehow I knew her.

This is the same feeling that I have with my relationship with the Lord. I’ve never seen Him nor heard His audible voice, but I know Him.

Throughout this pregnancy, she will get to know me far more than I will get to know about her. The Lord knows every little detail about me and my life, but somehow I desire to love and know Him more.

The parallels between our relationship with the Lord and pregnancy still amaze me. There is so much unseen in them both, but a strong desire to have relationship. Use this time to connect with your little one and grow closer with the Lord.
