Precious Moments That Count For Eternity

DAY 3 OF 366

The Blessed Hope

Congratulations! You have been promoted. Please meet me before the end of the day and collect your letter.” Woah! If you woke up to a text message or email like this from your boss, you’d jump out of bed and rush to work, wouldn’t you? Maybe even reach office half an hour earlier! All day, you would try to hide a grin, not breathe a word about the news to your colleagues and prepare to act surprised, when the boss finally announces it in front of them all. You’d wait expectantly for the boss to call you into his cabin. Every time the phone would ring, you would pick it up at the first ring. The entire day would be filled with high energy and excitement.

You know the boss has signed the papers, which officially declare that you are now promoted. It’s just a matter of him handing them over to you. It doesn’t matter if your colleagues think that you don’t deserve it. It doesn’t matter, if they laugh at you for thinking that you would ever be promoted.

The very same way, it doesn’t matter what you are facing today, because the Lord has declared His hope for you. His hope assures you of a day full of life, purpose, victory, healthy relationships, good health and joy in Him.

God’s declarations can be found in the many promises, that He has made in His Word, concerning us, His children. All we need to do is discover His declarations, and receive them, to walk in them.

Go on, discover that blessed hope, and walk in it.

Prayer
Father, thank You for the hope of a good, expected end that takes me through today in joy. I look forward to all that You have prepared for me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
