DAY 12 OF 20

Has it ever been a challenge or struggle for you to be generous? Or does generosity come easy for you? Whether it is patience toward someone with our time, with our things, or even with our money, being generous can at times be a challenge even for the most giving person. It is a natural reaction for us to protect our things by holding them tightly.

Have you ever seen a toddler notice another toddler playing with a toy and decide that they would like to play with that same toy? You don't have to teach toddlers to be selfish with a toy. You have to teach them how to share. We aren't that different from them, you know? We don't have to be taught how to be selfish. That comes naturally. We do have to learn how to be generous, though. The Bible gives some unique insight into what comes out of a life lived generously. When we live generously, we consider others before ourselves and do it from a place of love.

How can I be generous with what I have today? How might someone be blessed by my generosity?

About this Plan

Distinct

If someone asked who you are, what would you say? Are you a musician? A basketball player? A friend? A daughter or son? Those things might be true, but have you ever felt like you’re still figuring out who you are, what you’re good at, or why you’re here? In this 20-day devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we'll explore who Jesus is and discover who we’re meant to be.
