Love God Greatly: Estherনমুনা

Our words are powerful. They have the power to cut deep and cause hurt, or to encourage, build-up, and move even in the heart of a king. Esther's words in today's verses are carefully selected. She speaks with reverence, honor, and responds to King Ahaserus in a way that demonstrates she has first been a good listener. She doesn't rush into her own dialogue; instead, she patiently, intentionally chooses her words wisely. Can these qualities be said of me in conversations with friends, co-workers, family, my husband, or my children? Do I demonstrate respect and wisdom when speaking to someone in authority?
Dear God, Guide my tongue for Your glory today; give me Your words to speak so that I will honor You. Amen.

About this Plan

Esther is an incredible story that reminds us God is always working. From this story, we learn there is no such thing as "coincidence." Though God may seem distant, even absent at times, He is present. God is always with us and at work in our lives, just like He was in Esther's so many years ago.
