Love God Greatly: Estherনমুনা

Humility. That is what Paul is calling us to in this verse. It is not a call to think of ourselves as less than, but instead, to view ourselves in the light of God's holiness. It is seeing us for who we are compared to who God is and understanding that we deserve no good thing. We are sinners saved by grace. Any talents, abilities, and gifts come from God and God alone. Anything good in our lives is a gift from God. This humility will cause us to view others as better than ourselves and to love them in a God-honoring way.
Dear God, Give me eyes to see that all good things in my life are from You. May my life be marked with gratitude for Your love, mercy, and limitless grace. Help me to extend love, mercy, and grace to others like You have to me. Amen.

About this Plan

Esther is an incredible story that reminds us God is always working. From this story, we learn there is no such thing as "coincidence." Though God may seem distant, even absent at times, He is present. God is always with us and at work in our lives, just like He was in Esther's so many years ago.
