Galatians 4

4
chapter four
1I say however, that as long as the heir is a child, is different he himself in nothing from a slave, although he is master of all; 2but is under guardians and managers, until to the time set beforehand from the father. 3exactly so also we, while we are was children, we were in slavery under the elemental rudiments of the world; 4when however it is come the fulfilment of the time, has Hashem sent out his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5so as to redeem those, who are under the law, so that we should receive the adoption, 6and because you (PL) are children, has Hashem sent out the Spirit of His Son in our hearts into, who calls: Abba, Tate Father! 7therefore you are more not any slave, but a son; and if a son, (then) also an heir through Hashem.
8but then, when you (PL) had not known Hashem, did you (PL) serve to those, who from nature are not any g-ds; 9now however, knowing Hashem, indeed rather more, being known by Hashem, how turn you (PL) yourselves apparently again over to the weak and beggarly beginning foundations, to which you (PL) want again, anew to be in slavery? 10days observe you (PL) up and months and seasons and years. 11I have fear for you (PL), lest have I labored among you (PL) in vain.
12I beg you (PL), brothers, be as I am, because I am also as you (PL) are. you (PL) have me nothing wronged; 13but you (PL) know, that on account of a weakness in the body have I you (PL) the first time announced the good News; 14and your trial in my body had you (PL) not held in contempt was and not spurned, but as a messenger of Hashem did you (PL) me welcome, as the Moshiach Yehoshua. 15and where is (what became of) your blessedness? because I speak you (PL) witness, that if it would but possible was, would you (PL) yourselves take out the eyes and me give. 16am I therefore become your enemy, because I have you (PL) told the truth? 17they are zealous about you (PL), not to the good; they want but you (PL) to disconnect, so that you (PL) shall be zealous about them. 18it is however a good thing always to be zealous for good, and not only while my presence with you (PL). 19children my, for whom I suffer again birth pangs, until Moshiach is formed in you, 20I would now want be with you (PL), and change my voice; because I am in doubt about you (PL).
21tell me, you (PL), who want be under the (stickler legalism) law, (question) hear you (PL) not (what) the law (says)? 22because it stands written, that Abraham has had two sons, one of the slave-girl and one of the free (woman). 23but the one of the slave-girl is born become according to flesh, the (one) however of the free (woman) through the promise. 24these things are a parable; because these are two covenants (agreements), one from the Mount Sinai, which makes born to slavery, that is Hagar. 25and Hagar is the Mount Sinai in Arabia, and is likened to the present Jerusalem, because she is in slavery with her children. 26however the Jerusalem of from above is free, that is our mother. 27because it stands written:
rejoice you, you (SG) barren, who has not given birth,
break out in song, and shout, o you (SG),
who have not any birth pangs;
because many more are the children of the desolate,
than from the one, who has the husband.
(Yeshayah 54, 1)
28you (PL) however, brothers, like Isaac, are children of the promise. 29but exactly as then has the born according to flesh persecute the (born) according to Spirit, so also now. 30but what says the verse? drive out the slave-girl with her son; because the son of the servant-girl will not inherit with the son of the free (woman). (Genesis 21, 10.) 31therefore, brothers, are we not children of the slave-girl, but of the free (woman).
