9and a certain man with the name Simon, who used himself previously involved with magic in the city and had astounded the people of Samaria, presenting himself for something great; 10who to him have self everyone to listen, from small to great, and said: the this one (man) is the power of g-t, who is it called The Great. 11and they have themselves to listen to him, because in the course of a long time did he them astound with the (feats of) magic. 12when however they did believe Philip, who had them announced the Good News about the kingdom of Hashem and the name of Yehoshua the Moshiach, did they themselves allow immersed to be in the mikveh, men and women. 13and this Simon himself did also believe; and being immersed in the mikveh, did he himself join to Philip, and seeing signs and great wonders occur, did he himself strongly was amazed.
14and when the Shlichim in Jerusalem did hear, that Samaria had accepted Hashem's word, did they send to them Peter and John; 15who, coming down, did pray for them, that they should received the Spirit the Holy. 16because the Spirit the Holy had yet not had fallen on any one of them; they were only were immersed in the mikveh in the name of the L-rd Yehoshua. 17then did they lay (on) the hands on them, and they did received the Spirit the Holy. 18and when Simon did see, that the Spirit the Holy was given through the lay on the hands of the Shlichim, did he bring money to them, 19and said: give me also the this power, so that when I will lay on the hands on anyone, shall he receive the Spirit the Holy. 20Peter however did to him say: your silver shall remain with you (SG) to (till) (your) corruption (death), because you (SG) did plan have to buy the gift of Hashem with money. 21you (SG) have not any share and not any inheritance in the this thing, because your heart is not sincere before Hashem. 22therefore do repentance for the this evil doing your, and do prayer to the L-rd (Hashem), perhaps will you (SG) forgiven to be the thought of your heart. 23because I see, that you (SG) are in the gall of bitterness (poison and wormwood), and in the fetters of wickedness. (Deuteronomy 29, 17.) 24and Simon has (in) answering said: be you (PL) pray for me to the L-rd (G-d), that no thing shall not come on me, of which you (PL) have spoken.
25and witness saying and speaking the word of the L-rd, did they themselves return to Jerusalem, and announced (on the way) the Good News in many Samaritan villages.
26and an angel of L-rd (G-d) did speak to Philip, so to say: stand up, and go to south side on the way, which leads down from Jerusalem to Gaza/Aza; that same one is desolate. 27and he did stand up, and went; and look, a man, an Ethiopian, a eunuch, a chief official to Candace, queen of the Ethiopian—he was over all her treasures—is come himself to worship (before Hashem) in Jerusalem; 28and returning himself (home), and sitting on his chariot, did he read (the book of) the prophet Isaiah. 29and the Spirit did say to Philip: walk to, and join yourself to the this chariot. 30and Philip did run there, and heard him reading this (book of) Isaiah the prophet, and did say: (question) understand you what you (SG) read? 31did he say: how shall I know, when anyone teaches me not? and did ask Philip to climb in and himself sit down with him. 32and the contents of the Scripture, which he did read was the these:
as a sheep to the slaughter is he led become;
and like a lamb before his shearer is silent,
so did he not open his mouth;
33in his humiliation was his justice taken away become;
and who will consider his generation?
because his life is taken away become from the earth.
(Yeshayah 53, 7-8)
34and the eunuch did answering say to Philip: I ask you, about whom speaks this the prophet? about self alone or about an other? 35and Philip did open his mouth, and beginning from the this one scripture, did he to him announce the Good News of Yehoshua. 36and as they were thus traveling on the way, did they come to a water; and the eunuch did say: see, a water; what hinders me immersed to become in the mikveh? 37did Philip to him say: if you (SG) believe with the whole heart, you may. and he did answering say: I believe, that Yehoshua the Moshiach is the Son of the Most High. 38and did order to stop the chariot, and both did go down into the water into, Philip and the eunuch; and he did him immersed in the mikveh, 39and when they did step out from the water, did the Spirit of the L-rd carry away Philip, and the eunuch did him now more not see, and a joyfully did he himself travel on his way. 40Philip however did himself find in Ashdod; and did go around and did announce the Good News in all cities of, until he did come to Caesarea.
