chapter four
1therefore, as Moshiach has suffered in the body, so shall you (PL) yourselves also arm with the same mind; because the one, who has suffered in the body, has ceased with sin; 2so that no longer to live according to the lusts of men, but according to Hashem's will the yet remaining time in the body. 3because it is enough, that in the past time have we acted according to the will of the nations (of the world), living in lusts, to guzzle wine, revelries, drunkenness and in abominable idolatries; 4in which they wonder themselves, why you (PL) run more not together with them in the same debauched gluttony, and they slander; 5they will give an account to Him, Who is ready to judge the the living ones and the dead. 6because for this reason is the News Good announced become also to the the dead, so that they should judged to be in the body as men, should however live in the Spirit according to Hashem.
7but the end of all things has itself come near; be therefore sensible and sober for prayers; 8before everything shall you (PL) have a strong love one for the other; because love covers over a multitude sin; (Proverbs 10, 12.) 9be hospitable one to the other without complaining; 10serve one the other, according to the gift, which each has received, as good stewards of Hashem's varied/manifold grace; 11if someone speaks, (shall he speak) as though Hashem's words; if one serves, (shall he it do) as out of the strength, which Hashem supplies; so that in all things may Hashem glorified be through Yehoshua the Moshiach, to whom it belongs glory and power forever and ever. Amen.
12beloved (in Moshiach), wonder yourselves not over the fiery ordeal, which is coming, as a trial on you (PL), like as a strange thing would you (PL) happen upon; 13but according to as you (PL) are participant in the suffering of the Moshiach, shall you (PL) yourselves rejoice; so that in the revelation of His glory shall you (PL) yourselves rejoice and joyful be. 14if you (PL) be reviled on account of the Name of the Moshiach, are blessed you (PL); because the (Spirit) of glory and the Spirit of Hashem rests on you (PL). 15but shall anyone of you (PL) not to suffer as a murderer, or thief, or ung-dly, or as one, who gets involved himself into in the other's business; 16if however (anyone suffers) as a Meshichist, let he himself not to be ashamed; but give glory to Hashem in that very Name. 17because it is already time, that the judgment shall itself begin of Hashem's house; and if of us before all, what will already be the end of the recalcitrant/rebellious to Hashem's News Good? 18and if the righteous is barely saved, where will the ung-dly and sinner come to? 19therefore should also the (ones), who to suffer according to Hashem's will, entrust their souls to the faithful Creator, doing good.
