The cross is what gives hope to the world we live in!

Jesus endured great suffering because of His love for mankind. He was condemned and beaten; He could have called all the angels of heaven to rescue him but He chose not to. He could have saved himself, but He chose to humbly give his life. He stayed on the cross, not because he was forced to, but because He chose to. This alone should give us hope in difficult times. This should encourage us to continue on. The fact that He died for us should cause us to bow in worship to Him in gratitude. What a Savior!
