Jesus modeled how to surrender His own plans by literally giving His life up for us. And even though it wasn't easy, our lives and our futures look much different because God's purpose prevailed. When you make your list of dreams and goals, hold out your hands in front of you and by faith surrender them to the Lord. Give it all to God!

Ask God to show you which plans He wants to give back to you.

Ask Him if there are any new dreams He is longing for you to step into.

How many times have you had plans/dreams, and they didn't turn out the way you planned? I know for me; it has been many times... When I make a plan to make my dreams and desires come to pass and I DON'T include my God in the process....it. fails. every. time.

God wants to be involved/included in our lives.

He is the Ultimate Planner and Guide for our life!

The Lord is The Shepherd, and we are the sheep.

We follow His leading, not the other way around.

He knows what is best for us.

He knows the plan He has for our life.

So instead of asking yourself what you want to do, ASK God!

In Jeremiah 29:11 it says, 'For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope."

Hallelujah!

Let's check out the next two verses:

v. 12 says, "In those days when you pray, I will listen."

v. 13 says, "If you look wholeheartedly, you will find me."

God's plan for your life is custom fit, for you. He knows the plans for your life. And those plans include goodness and hope!

We live in a culture where we are told to 'look within ourselves' for the answers... to do 'what feels good'... and to 'follow our heart.' All of those statements sound nice, but they all point to one thing...and that one thing is you. When we walk according to those worldly sayings, we are playing the role of god.

Little 'g.' We are NOT God! Big 'G.'

We are a created being. We were created 'in' the image of God. Therefore, we are NOT gods/God. So, I encourage you today if you are lost in your plans and dreams for your life stop looking within and go to God. Seek Him. Ask Him what plans He has for your life because when you do, you will have the PEACE of God over your life knowing that you are walking in His will! And when you are walking in His will, the Lord's purpose will prevail!

DECLARATION:

The Lord's purpose will prevail in my life. I surrender my plans and goals to my heavenly Father, and I receive what He has for my life. I am Holy Spirit-led. God's plans for my life are for good. They give me a future and a hope.
