GOD’S VOICE IN TIMES OF FEAR

Sometimes we may find ourselves in very scary situations of persecution. In many cases, we may not even have doors to hide behind or shelters to hide in. But we must never forget that the God we serve is the true and living God, and He will come and stand in all your fears, right where you are, and proclaim to you "PEACE". That's the greatness of the Lord whom we serve. The Peace that Jesus gives us is a peace that surpasses all understanding; we should always rely on that peace in the midst of all of our situations. Remember that He has promised, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not be afraid.”

Apostle Paul had also testified numerous times about how the Holy Spirit had spoken to him clearly in the midst of his doubts about moving forward. In Acts 28, when everyone had given up hope and expected death, Paul is encouraged by the Lord's clear voice. He was not only encouraged, but he was also able to encourage his companions by expressing his confidence that the Lord who spoke to him would keep His promise.

Commit and Pray.

Can you rely on His peace in the face of your deepest fears? Can we hear his gentle voice amid our fears?

Let us pray that when we face scary situations and are terrified, we will be reminded of our Lord Jesus, who is able to speak "peace" into our life situations.

Confronting Fear in Persecution

Fear is one of the most powerful emotions when someone is being persecuted. Attacks, imprisonment, closing of churches, and the death of loved ones and fellow believers due to faith can all leave us feeling fearful to move forward in our Christian journey and helpless. This reading plan is a great way to prepare yourself to face fear when facing persecution if you are fearful of it now.
