Verse 22 shows us that she has the ability to make clothes and verse 24 shows us she simply took her ability one step further by opening an avenue to provide for others.
Her career was built out of meeting her own needs and realizing that her gift could also be a blessing to those around her. The foundation of her business is purpose, not merely profitability or popularity.
What talents and abilities has God given you that may be a blessing to others? How are you using what God has given you?
1 Peter 4:10-11 says, “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.”
Let’s dig a little deeper into these rich words:
No gift God has given us is to go unused.
We serve an intentional and purposeful God. If He gave you a talent, He desires you to use it.
The purpose of every gift is to benefit others.
God also did not give us a gift, talent or ability purely for our own use or enjoyment. We’re only using the gifts that He has given us effectively if we are using them to serve others.
God gets the glory when we use our gifts.
It’s not about the worldly applause or the spotlight. It’s about people being able to see Jesus at work in us and giving Him the praise.
God, thank You for making each of us on purpose and with purpose. Fill us with humility to accomplish Your purposes over any agenda of our own. Help us to use our gifts, not just for ourselves, but to serve others. Thank You for equipping us for every good work. We love You. Amen.

Proverbs 31 is often mistaken as an unattainable job description when it's actually a character description of a woman of God's standard. Rather than seeking something worthy to do, this seven-day devotional helps us dig into this well-known passage in a new way: to passionately pursue who God purposely created us to be.
