21 Days of CelebrationIsampula
Day 11
“Instead of shame and dishonour, you will enjoy a double share of honour. You will possess a double portion of prosperity in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.”
Isaiah 61:7 NLT
Question:
What has been the longest length of time you have ever celebrated anything? Are you still celebrating it today?
Application:
The prophecy of Isaiah speaks of God's message to people during an experience of exile. Until this point, Isaiah has spoken of a time promised. Now this part of the book speaks of the time ahead once they return from exile and of what will be seen.
In a powerful way, this new vantage point ties in with the gospel revelation and what is available since Christ’s work on the cross. There is an abundance of honour, no lack, and a joy without end. Give yourself the opportunity to celebrate life and all of God's goodness without the need to feel that your joy should end.
To put it in another way, give yourself the opportunity to celebrate with no end.
Prayer:
I allow you, Holy Spirit, the room to nurture in my heart your fruit of joy that is everlasting.

Take the adventure through God's word and see transformation in your life as you exercise the muscles of celebration. Much is made about the need for a reason to celebrate. To truly understand the Good News is to focus away from striving for personal accomplishment and instead, walking with the Father God, receiving all that has been accomplished through Jesus on our behalf, empowering us for a life of celebration.
