Worry wears you out. Anxiety robs you of sleep. You wake up less than rested and on shaky footing to confront a new day that offers more sources of worry which can lead to more anxiety. How can you get off the “hamster wheel?”
PRAY: Lord, I feel like I keep facing the same things and hard as I try, I keep getting the same results.
READ: Let Jesus’s words in the Gospel of Matthew spark belief that things can change.
REFLECT: If you could give your “heavy load” a name or description, what would it be? Have you ever considered offering your heavy load to Jesus? What would rest look like for you?
RESPOND: Jesus says this: “Take my yoke and put it on you, and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in spirit; and you will find rest.” How do you respond?
