Day 15 - God is With You

At the end of his life, Joseph was overwhelmed with God’s faithfulness to him and to his family. He witnessed the blessings time and time again. From being sold into slavery to being reunited with his family, Joseph had no reason to doubt God’s goodness when he looked back on his life. Regardless of the hardships he faced, God was always with him and working all things together for good.

On this side of heaven, we're not guaranteed that our circumstances will change in the timing or way we think they should. After all, we learned from Joseph that years would pass before his situation would change. But one thing was constant in his story...

“The Lord was with Joseph.”-Genesis 39:2-3

Joseph knew this truth because he had experienced it over and over again and he also believed that it was true for his family as well. He knew God was with him in the pit and in the palace. He was with him in the betrayal and triumph. He promised to never leave him.

Not only were God's promises true for Joseph and his family then but they are true for us today. In fact, we read in scripture that God says...

"So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand"- Isaiah 41:10

He says "Do not be afraid!" God promises he will be with anyone who puts their trust in Him and makes Him Lord of their life. Joseph's story began with a dream and ended by Living the Dream as God redeemed His life story. He can do the same for you!
