So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

Luke 11:9

Prayer is a primary way we connect to God, enjoy time in His presence, and listen to what he says to us. Prayer is a conversation with the Lord. During these conversations, you may have needs that you bring to God. Your Heavenly Father loves you and wants you to bring your needs to him. He wants to be invited into the conversation!

As you present your needs to God, pray with persistence and faith. Whether you need physical healing, a place to live, some good friends to support you, or rest from your busy life, bring your needs to the Lord. Persist in your prayers. Have faith that He hears you and is working on your behalf. Also, invite others to pray with you for your needs.

The church has a prayer team that is dedicated to praying with you and for you. Prayer team members are available to pray with you and also are dedicated to praying for prayer requests throughout the week. Also, if you are in a group or other community at the church, you can ask those around you to pray for your prayer requests. Don’t try to go through life alone. When you have needs in life, invite others to pray with you!

Today, as you read passages explaining the power of persistent prayer, reflect on your own prayer life. Spend at least 5 minutes in prayer today using the ACTION prayer method. ADORE God with your praise. CONFESS your sins to Him and ask forgiveness. THANK God for blessings. INVITE God to speak while you sit and listen. OBSERVE what He says to you. NEEDS are presented to Him.
