Be encouraged to cry out to God with your most unpalatable questions. He can take it. When you feel like God has rejected you – tell him. When you feel let down by God – tell him. When you feel abandoned by him – let him know. You never know what you may hear back in return.
Have you ever spoken to God about such raw emotions? What is holding you back?
Prayer: God, give us courage to share the whole range of our human experience with you, knowing that you understand completely. Amen.

Sometimes, no matter which direction we look, it all just seems like too much. Pressures push in on us from every side. Though it’s hard to see, our God is with us even then. In the moments when we need to sit in a dark room, curl into a ball and weep, he is there with us, and he has some surprisingly comforting things to speak into our hearts.
