Marvellous

Have you ever heard the rhyme, “When he’s good, he’s very, very good, but when he’s bad, he’s horrid!”? Sometimes, it feels like this could describe God’s power and justice. For those who believe and love Him, He’s the most wonderful, loving Father, who even gave up His life to save us. But for those who fight against Him, well—let’s just say you wouldn’t want to be in their shoes. This isn’t about revenge—it’s about justice. God’s justice is an expression of His love for what’s right, and it shows us that He deeply cares about His people and His creation.

Go Deep

In this passage, we read about plagues and God’s anger. It can feel intense but think about this: God gave people every chance to be saved, even giving His own life for them. But some people will still choose to reject Him, harm His followers, and even try to fight Him, while following the Antichrist (called “the beast” here). But we know how the story ends—God wins! The bad guys didn’t stand a chance. And here’s the best part: a song of worship, from these people that have been suffering, being persecuted because of their faith in God. They sing about our awesome God: His marvelous deeds, His true ways, His holiness, His righteous acts, and the song ends with a wonderful declaration: “All nations will come and worship before You”

Be Bold

As God’s child, you get to experience His love and care. You don’t need to fear His anger—even when you mess up. If you ask for forgiveness, He forgives because His anger over our sins was poured out on Jesus. Take a moment now to make your own song of praise for this marvelous God who loves you so deeply.

Also, take a moment to pray for friends or family who don’t believe in God yet. Pray that they’ll come to know His goodness and love and never have to face His judgment.
