Memorization Challenge:1 Corinthians 13:11-13

When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.
So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Reading Primer: Commitment to Righteousness

As you read today’s scriptures, reflect on your commitment to righteousness. In Psalm 26, David’s declaration of his integrity and trust in God invites us to examine our lives. David seeks vindication from God based on his unwavering dedication to righteousness, reminding us of the importance of living in alignment with God’s standards.

Deuteronomy 28:15-57 describes the severe consequences of disobedience, emphasizing how our choices impact our lives. This passage challenges us to consider the weight of living righteously and the effects of turning away from God’s commands.

In 2 Corinthians 10, Paul defends his ministry with a focus on spiritual integrity, encouraging us to maintain our commitment to divine principles, even when faced with challenges or criticism.

These readings urge us to reflect deeply on our commitment to righteousness, encouraging us to live with integrity and trust God’s justice.

Prayer of Illumination:
Lord, as we reflect on Your Word today, reveal the areas where we need to deepen our commitment to righteousness. Guide us to live with integrity and align our actions with Your standards. Strengthen us to remain faithful and uphold Your truth in all circumstances. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Reading With the People of God - #6 LOVE

This is the sixth part of a reading plan through the Bible, following the lectionary pattern of reading in the Psalms, Old Testament, and New Testament each day. In addition, each day this month will feature a memorization challenge for 1 Corinthians 13 (The Love Chapter), and there will be brief devotionals from different people in our Church scattered throughout the plan.
