Praying With the Psalms预览

Hallelujah!
“Praise the LORD, all you nations; extol him, all you peoples. For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD” (Psalm 117).
Psalm 117 is the shortest, but nevertheless a very powerful Psalm. God shows what He can do for a small nation like Israel. This is how He wants to be for all people and every person personally. Psalm 117 is known as a 'Hallel-psalm', a Psalm of praise. Hallelujah means: praise God. Everyone is invited to join in this praise of God's greatness. Several Psalms begin or end with the word ‘Hallelujah.’ For example: Psalm 104:35, Psalm 106:48, Psalm 146:10. Your life can be a song of praise to God. Start and end every day and every prayer with a resounding Hallelujah!
Prayer exercise
Write the word ‘Hallelujah’ or the whole of Psalm 117 on a card and hang it up so that you can see it easily (or store it in your phone). This way, you can praise and thank God at all times of the day (and night) for the strength and peace of His presence. Especially when you feel weak or dejected, it can help you to think of the greatness and faithfulness of God. And in moments of joy, it is good to first praise God!
