Praying With the Psalms预览

Sing, even when life is tough!
“Yahweh, God of hosts, who is a mighty one, like You? LORD, your faithfulness surrounds you” (Psalm 89:8).
One-third of the Book of Psalms consists of Psalms 73-89. Psalm 89 is a long and powerful song of praise about the goodness of God. But the poet also asks where this great power of God becomes visible (verse 47). Sometimes, we want to pray but cannot find words because of tiredness, sorrow, or pain. It is helpful in such circumstances to just start reading a Psalm. Or to read and repeat a single phrase from a Psalm. Like the words of Psalm 89:8 mentioned above. Today, we suggest that you read Psalm 89, verses 1-15, as a prayer. You could also read a section of this Psalm prayerfully for several days in a row.
Prayer exercise:
Read and repeat the words of Psalm 89, verse 8. If necessary, write them down and let them accompany you today as an encouraging prayer. Even if you don't feel anything (yet), it is good to stay in touch with God in this way daily. Every word you speak to Him will be heard by Him! Nothing or no one can separate you from His love (Romans 8:37-39).
