The Success of Joseph预览
The Palace
Everything Joseph did, he made it clear that it was not because of his ability but because he depended on God. Joseph lived completely guided by God.
He truly had a servant's heart.
Joseph did his best as a servant, as a prisoner, as a governor, and as a brother. The boy who was once in a pit without water became one of the highest authorities in Egypt. God acted in favor of Joseph. He not only passed through the desert but was now ruling over it.
He achieved fame, and the greatest challenge of success is that it can seduce. Often, the hardest part isn't overcoming difficulty, but managing success itself. Worldly fame distracts us, lures false friends, money, and can lead to corruption.
Throughout it all, Joseph never let these experiences corrupt his heart. His pure heart allowed him to forgive his brothers, who had once sought to kill their youngest sibling and later pleaded to take Benjamin's place. This illustrates Joseph's remarkable maturity.
But even though his heart was pure, it didn't mean he wasn't hurt. Pain may have been present, but Joseph did not harbor anger, seek revenge, or grow accustomed to arrogance and hatred. Consider how much Joseph must have endured. His heart may have been wounded, yet he remained steadfast in his principles.
Joseph was not bitter. We too have gone through difficult times, but our hearts must not be heavy because of it. Forgiving is not forgetting, but it is not allowing hatred to grow in your heart.
Being happy does not mean not experiencing sad stories, but rather learning not to live in the sadness of those stories for the rest of your life.
