Refresh: 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting预览
Romans 12:2 (ISV) Do not be conformed to this world, but continuously be transformed by the renewing of your minds so that you may be able to determine what God’s will is—what is proper, pleasing, and perfect.
Not to long ago, Pastor Justin asked, “How many of you are believing for GOD to do something BIG in your life?” He then said, “if that’s you then don’t skip the prelude.”
You have to love that "Don't skip the prelude," It’s pretty clear to see that Romans 12:2 (above) is your prelude to walking in all the promises that the Father has already given you in Christ Jesus.
As you renew your mind to the word of God, a great exchange is taking place; that is, the world‘s thoughts are on their way out, and the word, meaning God’s word, is on its way in. Which will lead you to live in the beautiful land of Proverbs 23:7 ”For as he thinks within himself, so he is." The Hebrew language makes this verse so clear — when it says, "as a man thinks, so is he,” how important then are the thoughts that you think?
When Jesus was confronted by the enemy, right after He was done fasting, He used the word of God to battle back; obviously His mind was filled with the word; He was the word in the flesh. Today, you should be in that place where you’re prepared to battle against the thoughts that want to lessen who you are as a child of God.
After all, you are not who the enemy says you are, you are not who the world says you are, and you aren't who you say you are, you are who God says you are! And He says you are His child; you are redeemed; you are sanctified, highly favored, forgiven and loved unconditionally.
Reflection: Why not focus today on being transformed, not conformed. Staying focused on the Word, not the world — always keeping in mind His will for your life. In Jeremiah 29:11 (MSG) you can see His will for you when He says, “I’ll show up and take care of you as I promised and bring you back home. I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out — plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.”
