Living in Increase (Part 8) - Increase in Worshipنمونہ
Breaking Barriers through Worship
When we start humbling ourselves, we break barriers between us and our Father in Heaven. He can’t lead or teach us if we are not humble.
Worship has always been one of the times I feel closest to God, but what if singing and whispering with my eyes shut only scratches the surface of that intimacy? What if breaking ALL the barriers requires reckless abandonment in worship? Eyes looking up toward Heaven, shouting love and praise, and both hands reaching up to God, like a child asking their Dad to pick them up and hold them.
How much more honor would that bring to God because we’ve humbled ourselves in all possible ways in our worship? We’ve made Him the focus, not our fear, doubt, or pride. He is honored, and we are left with a soothed soul, supernatural confidence, and abundant grace and love.
“Humility orients us rightly toward our bodies, emotions, and intellect. It orients us rightly toward our possessions, desires, and circumstances. It orients us rightly toward the cross. And nurtured carefully in the fertile soil of grace, humility grants us a harvest of true rest.” - Jen Wilken
Let’s be reckless-abandonment worshippers. Challenge accepted?
