Have you ever had one of those days when everything seemed to go wrong?
Your alarm didn't go off, your favorite jeans were in the dirty laundry pile, your car was out of gas, and to top it off, you were late to school. Then, during lunch, you spilled your entire bottle of soda on your clothes and had to walk to fourth period in soggy shoes.
Some days, it feels like things can't get any worse. We wonder if anyone realizes the amount of stress we're under. Beyond that, we question if God notices we're running on empty.
On days like this, today's Scripture reminds us to look at nature for comfort. The birds don't worry about where they are going to land, or where they will get their next meal, because God provides for them. The wildflowers don't worry about how they look or how they will grow, because God gives them what they need.
With all of this in mind, Jesus reminds us that God cares for us more than God cares for the birds and the flowers. So, if God will take care of them, how much more can we trust God will take care of us?
On our most difficult days, it's normal to wonder if God notices that we don't have enough. In those moments, step outside and let the flowers and a bird's call remind you that God cares about you.

Through their example, we’ll learn that there is enough when we share what we have — and if there isn’t enough, God provides. We'll also learn that our actions can speak when words aren’t enough and that God’s love is always enough.
