Escaping the Ordinaryنمونہ
In worship songs, we often hear the phrase "glory to God." This means giving honor to God, recognizing His power, and giving Him praise. The Bible tells us to acknowledge God's glory, but what does it mean?
God's glory is evident in everything He has made. In Genesis chapter 1, we see how carefully God designed Earth, starting from nothing and creating light. The beauty of the heavens and Earth speaks of God's glory, as mentioned in Psalm 19:1-2 and Romans 1:20. These verses tell us that creation reveals God's qualities, power, and nature – so much that it’s impossible for us not to notice Him!
God's glory is also shown through His word. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 assures us that the Bible is inspired by God and guides us in understanding what's right and wrong. It helps us live well and prepares us to deal with struggles and temptations. When we read and reflect on Scripture, we notice how God is active in the world and our lives.
Jesus demonstrated the power of using Scripture when facing temptations. In Matthew 4, He countered Satan's temptations with verses from the Bible. Jesus's example shows that relying on Scripture can help us resist sin and bring glory to God.
John 1:14 tells us that Jesus, God's Son, revealed God's glory by coming to Earth. He embodied love and faithfulness, displaying the Father's glory. By recognizing God's glory in creation, His word, and through Jesus, we can better understand His power and presence.
