Healing Hurt From a Broken Heartنمونہ
Day 8: But God
The enemy will have you believe there are just some things in life that are impossible, no matter what. The enemy likes to give half-truths because half-truths are more believable. There are indeed certain things in life that are impossible in human strength. There are some things you just can’t do on your own. However, all things are possible with God.
The enemy may be telling you it’s going to be impossible for you to get over this breakup. You were just too close to and too in love with the guy. You will never be able to move on. If you keep rehearsing these lies in your head, you will begin to believe them. After all, it feels true. Your heart aches so badly right now you can’t see how you will ever be whole and happy again. I have been there.
I remember being so heartbroken that my present seemed so dark, and my future seemed so bleak. The enemy told me I wouldn’t survive the breakup. I was so weak on my own that I knew the only way I was going to survive that breakup was with God. I have two words for you that helped me, “But God!”
Every time you feel like something is impossible, say those two words, “But God!” Those two words are a reminder that all things are possible with God. It helps to combat the lies of the devil. When he tells you to give up because you’re never going to be free from this hurt, this is a sure response. Tell him, and yourself, “I may not be able to get free on my own, but God!” John 8:36 says, “Whom the Son sets free is free indeed.” The devil can’t do anything with that. The only thing he can do is come back with a different lie.
The “But God” statement allows you to have a response for every lie the devil throws at you. No matter what part of this journey seems impossible for you, always remember the power of the God you serve, for nothing is impossible with Him.
Declare: The enemy would have me believe that it is impossible for me to be set free from this heartache and have peace. I rebuke that lie! I may be hurting right now, but God! Jesus came so that I may have peace and an abundant life. Jesus came to set me free, so I am free indeed. All things that may be impossible in my own strength are certainly possible with God.
