The Double Minded.
“A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” James 1:8 KJV
Double mindedness produces instability within the walls of your family. According to Strong’s Concordance, the Greek word for “Double Minded” is, ‘dipsychos’ (G1374) which means, “Wavering, uncertain, doubting.” When you waver between the things of this world and serve other gods — you will get inconsistent results. You cannot serve both. Either you are in or you are out. You choose.
Matthew 6:24 KJV declares, “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” No man can bow to two masters. Double mindedness is a choice. You choose. When you choose Christ, you’re establishing a generational pattern of freedom. When you choose to serve the gods and idols of this world, you’re establishing a pattern of generational bondage. You choose.
You may have obtained riches by forsaking Christ and serving other gods, but what did it cost you? Riches are temporary — Christ is eternal. Matthew 16:26 KJV declares, “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” You cannot serve two masters.
Joshua 24:15 KJV declares, “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” You have the choice to break generational cycles. You have the opportunity to break generational bondages and patterns. By following Christ, you’re establishing a pattern of generational peace and prosperity. By following the gods of this world, you’re establishing a pattern of fear, bondage and wilderness within your family’s Bloodline. God is giving you a choice. You can either be free or you can stay entangled in the cycle and bondage of generational sin. You choose. “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” Galatians 5:1 KJV
“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:” Deuteronomy 30:19 KJV
