Believers have been given a multitude of promises from God. We have all of His promises in His Word. We have His guidance. We have His unfailing presence with us. But most of all, we have the knowledge that our life doesn't end here. However, until we fully surrender to God and experience His power, believers will experience fear - fear of the unknown, fear of man, fear of losing what we hold dear. This God-centered surrender is necessary, because it gives us an eternal perspective to see that we can have courageous confidence in God. We can trust Him with our good, our bad, and our ugly so that fear will have no power in our lives and we can walk in liberty with God. In what or whom have you been placing your trust? What will it take for you to place your trust in God and His Word? Father God, I thank You for being the sovereign God whose plan will come to pass. I thank You for being the unchanging God whose plans, purposes, and promises for me stand firm. Root in me the truth that Your plan is greater than I can imagine and Your promises and presence remain sure. Cast away the fear that seeks to hide in my heart. Allow no person and no fear to have a bigger place in my heart than You. In Jesus' name. Amen.
