A Prayer for Peaceful Sleep for Survivors

Dear God,

Sleep can be a very difficult task after experiencing trauma. Fear and flashbacks often bombard the mind. I pray in the name of Jesus over the sleep of every victim of human trafficking. Give your angels charge over them to guard them in every way. (Ps. 91:11) I pray over their minds, bringing every thought, every imagination, and every nightmare into the captivity and obedience of Jesus Christ. (2 Cor. 10:5)

O Lord, when they lie down let them not be afraid, and may their sleep be sweet. (Prov. 3:24) You are a hiding place, protecting them from trouble and surrounding them with songs of deliverance. (Ps. 32:7) I praise you for they will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone make them dwell in safety. (Ps. 4:8) In Jesus’ name, amen.
