Коли ж вони пішли, ось ангел Господній з’являється Йосипу уві сні і каже: Устань, візьми Дитя та Його матір і тікай у Єгипет, і будь там, поки не скажу тобі, бо Ірод буде шукати Дитя, щоб погубити Його.
