God's Redemption Story (Judges - 2 Samuel)Örnek
Saul - 4/5
Saul had a habit of doing things his own way. God gave instructions to Samuel, and Samuel relayed the instructions to Saul, Saul did something that looked a bit like what God asked, but he never quite hit the bullseye. In 1 Samuel 15: 21, we get an idea why. “But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the best of the things devoted to destruction, to sacrifice to the LordyourGod in Gilgal” (ESV, emphasis mine). Saul said to Samuel “your God” because he didn’t serve God on his own. He tried to appease someone else’s God.
What about us? Are we serving the Savior who died to pay for our sins or are we trying to make happy a God we’ve only heard of? If you haven’t accepted the free gift of life that Jesus made possible, take the opportunity now to open your heart and make him the Lord of your life.
