POSITION/PERSON Who are we? If we have placed our trust in Jesus then there are so many marvelous truths about our identity in Jesus! Here are some snapshots of these amazing realities. We are forgiven of all of our sins, past, present, and future. We are justified—declared to be righteous—in God’s sight. We have a right relationship with God. We are adopted as His sons and daughters in Christ. We are indwelt by the Holy Spirit and guaranteed an eternal inheritance someday in heaven. We have God as our Father, Christ as our brother, and the Spirit as our constant friend and companion. This is the most glorious identity that any human being could hope for—to be a child of God. We want to remember our position: We are in Christ. And Christ is in us!
