PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER

Pray for one another. JAMES 5:16 CSB

There’s nothing like the privilege of praying for another person, to intercede on their behalf to the great and almighty God. He already knows what we need, but through prayer we often become more aware of what someone else needs. The power of Jesus in us leads our thoughts and words and opens our spiritual eyes for seeing beneath the surface of things. That’s what Jesus did—He saw beyond the outer layer of attitudes and actions directly into the heart of each soul He encountered. Then He took His concerns straight to His Father on their behalf. We should all strive to do the same.

Jesus, I lift up my husband to You today and hope he can sense it. I love him so much, and I want him to know I pray for him throughout each day. Just as I can often tell when someone is praying for me, I want him to feel lifted and carried, empowered and loved through Your Spirit that is in us. You know his needs even better than I do, and I ask You to meet each one. Give him strength to accomplish tasks, help him have a clear mind for making decisions, and grant him satisfaction from the work of his hands. Go before him, behind him, and all around him with Your Spirit of love and protection. Fill his heart with Your joy, and let it abound no matter what happens in his day. Please give him encouragement, contentment, peace, and a desire for right living. I’m so grateful he is my husband, and I cherish his presence in my life. ALL PRAISE BE TO YOU. AMEN.
