Below as in Above: 5 Days in the Lord's PrayerНамуна

PRAISE
The Lord’s Prayer begins and ends with worship. Matthew 6:13 is a doxology—a statement of praise. This was the natural response to prayer for the Jews, and it should be for us as well. Doxology leads to rock-solid living. Worship can do what words cannot. Where words fail, praise brings peace that surpasses understanding. The more you worship, the less you worry. When the Lord lifts your perspective, your elevation changes—and suddenly, you can see further. Often, what you actually need isn’t an immediate solution, but time with Him. Worship and prayer provide that.
You’ll find the same words of this doxology spoken by King David in 1 Chronicles 29:10-12, hundreds of years before Jesus. And again in Revelation 5:13, John records these same themes being sung in Heaven. Blessing. Honor. Power. Kingdom. Glory. Forever and ever.
What is God doing?
Building His Kingdom.“Yours is the Kingdom.” Ultimately, His Kingdom will come to earth. Jesus told us His Kingdom is not of this world, but a day is coming when He will return in all His glory, and the paradise of God will be with us. Right now, He is building His Kingdom inside the hearts of His followers. While we wait for His return to rule everything around us, we must make sure He is ruling everything inside us.
How will He do it?
With Power. “And the power.” He holds all power—nothing is too hard for Him. His power was demonstrated when Jesus died and conquered death by the resurrection. One day, He will use that same power to resurrect us at His coming. But even now, that power lives in us. Every believer carries the same power that raised Christ from the dead. That’s why we can say with confidence, “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” His power resides in us.
How is it unleashed?
His Glory. “And the glory.” This is the effect of His Kingdom coming and His power being displayed. One day, His glory will fill the earth, and we will see Him as He truly is. We cannot even begin to comprehend it—the inspired writers of the Bible struggled for words, some even falling as though dead in His presence. His glory is beyond our understanding. But for now, we get a taste of it as we walk with Him. We are being transformed from glory to glory.
How long will it last?
Forever. “Forever. Amen.” That means into the ages. Eternity isn’t just infinite nothingness—it’s the cascading of ages unfolding forever. His reign will never end. His control over the universe is absolute. And while that’s the ultimate reality, the immediate application is this: we can trust Him right now.
Your trial won’t last forever, but what it produces will. His plan has always been unfolding. So even if you don’t understand what’s happening in your life right now, trust that He has a forever plan where it all works out.
These great and precious promises belong to those who are in Christ. Have you given your life to Him? Have you confessed Him as Lord? If not, you can do it right now. If you have, then say the Lord’s Prayer with boldness—beginning and ending with praise. Let the doxology be quick on your lips in response to prayer. He is worthy.
Prayer
Lord, I praise You because Yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Let Your Kingdom reign in my heart through the power that raised You from the dead. I want to see Your glory and for others to see it through me. Thank You that there will be no end to Your rule. I trust that You are working all things out, and Your control is never in question. I trust You.
