Connect

When God chose you, He called you to holiness—to become more and more like Him.

He wants your love to deepen, your faith to grow stronger, your hope to be steadfast.

He wants you to live out relationships His way, even in a hookup world.

But He doesn’t expect you to grow that way by yourself.

"Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other." –Romans 12:4–5

As a Christian, you are given access to that Body—to a community of people who share your goals, your values, and your hopes.

But have you fully tapped into it?

What you’ll find when you connect to a community will change and inspire you.

Proverbs 27:17 says: As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.

God has put people in your life who can sharpen you.

He provides people whose gifts will lead you closer to Him, people whose lives will be changed because of your own gifts.

"In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly." –Romans 12:6–8

In a hookup world, being single equals being alone.

But in truth, you are never alone.

Allow your Christian community to prove that to you.

Pray

At times, Father, I have felt alone. But please remind me that You are always with me. Thank You for your Body, for the community of believers around me. Help me to tap into it fully—to be there for others and to allow them to be here for me.
