Day 2: Esther – Trust in Divine Timing
The story of Esther is one of courage and divine purpose. When Esther was chosen to be the queen, she found herself in a position of influence, yet she also faced tremendous risk. The king's trust in Esther was not based solely on her beauty; it stemmed from her character and the wisdom she displayed in navigating the challenges before her. Esther understood her assignment and was willing to act when the time came, ultimately using her position to save her people from destruction.
For singles, Esther’s story highlights the importance of trust in relationships. Just as Esther gained the king's trust through her integrity, we must also strive to build trust with those we date. This involves being honest, transparent, and respectful while allowing God to guide our decisions. Trust is built over time, through shared experiences and mutual respect.
Consider your own relationships: Are you approaching them with honesty and integrity? Are you cultivating trust with your potential partners? As you navigate dating, remember that God places people in our lives for specific purposes. Pray that God will reveal to you the right individuals and help you discern their intentions, just as He did with Esther. Trust in His timing and His plan for your life.
Assignment:
Take a moment to journal about a time when you struggled with waiting on God's timing in your life. How did you feel, and what did you learn?
Write down a prayer declaring your trust in God’s plan for your relationships. Be specific in asking for patience, honesty, and integrity as you build trust with others.
Identify one area in your dating life where you can practice more transparency or integrity. Write down a practical step you will take to improve in this area (e.g., being more honest about your boundaries or intentions).
