Day 9: Trusting the Process
Life rarely unfolds the way we expect. Sometimes, we pray for open doors, and instead, we find ourselves waiting. Other times, we experience loss or pain and wonder how anything good could come from it. Yet Romans 8:28 gives us this assurance: God is always working, weaving every detail of our lives into His good and perfect plan.
Think of the process of refining gold. The metal must be placed in intense heat to remove impurities and reveal its brilliance. The refiner doesn’t take his eyes off the gold during this process; he watches carefully to ensure it’s not destroyed. Similarly, God is refining us in the fires of life—not to harm us but to purify and prepare us for His purposes.
Maybe you’re in a season where God feels distant or silent. Let me remind you: just because you don’t see Him working doesn’t mean He’s absent. Like the refiner, God’s eyes are always on you. He’s using every situation—the good, the bad, and the unexpected—to shape you and draw you closer to Him.
Take time today to reflect on areas of your life where you need to trust God’s process. Write down the things you’re waiting for or the challenges you’re facing. Then pray: “Lord, I trust that You are working all things together for my good. Help me to wait patiently and trust Your timing.”
Be encouraged, God’s process may not always make sense, but it’s always worth it.

About this Plan
Over the next 21 days, we are setting aside time to seek God intentionally—through fasting, prayer, and giving. Matthew 6 reminds us that these three practices draw us closer to the heart of God and position us to experience His faithfulness in extraordinary ways. Each day, we'll be walking with you through stories from Scripture, personal reflections, and encouragement for this journey. Take time to reflect, pray, and let God speak to you. We're believing that as we lean into this together, He will do above and beyond all we could ask or imagine.
