Day 8: Shaped by the Potter
In Jeremiah 18, God tells the prophet to go to the potter’s house, where he sees a potter working at his wheel. The clay is marred in the potter’s hands, so he reshapes it into a new vessel. God uses this image to illustrate His work in our lives.
We are the clay, and God is the potter. Sometimes, the shaping process is gentle and smooth; other times, it feels like we’re being pressed, stretched, and even broken. But the potter always has a purpose. He’s creating something beautiful and useful—a vessel that reflects His glory.
The key is to stay pliable in the Potter’s hands. When we resist His shaping, we hinder His work in our lives. But when we surrender to Him, trusting that He knows what’s best, we give Him the freedom to mold us into the people He’s called us to be.
Take a moment today to reflect: Are there areas of your life where you’ve been resisting God’s work? Maybe it’s a relationship, a decision, or a habit He’s asking you to release. Surrender those areas to Him and trust His process.
Pray: “Lord, I am the clay, and You are the Potter. Shape me, refine me, and mold me into Your image. I trust Your hands.”
Remember, you are in the hands of a loving Creator who sees the masterpiece He’s making, even when you can’t.

About this Plan
Over the next 21 days, we are setting aside time to seek God intentionally—through fasting, prayer, and giving. Matthew 6 reminds us that these three practices draw us closer to the heart of God and position us to experience His faithfulness in extraordinary ways. Each day, we'll be walking with you through stories from Scripture, personal reflections, and encouragement for this journey. Take time to reflect, pray, and let God speak to you. We're believing that as we lean into this together, He will do above and beyond all we could ask or imagine.
