A Year in Luke/ActsНамуна

Just before His Ascension, Jesus is asked: “Lord, is this the time when you will restore the kingdom to Israel?”
Jesus’ response is very important for us to take in as we begin Acts. He begins, “It is not for you to know the times or periods that the Father has set by his own authority.”
So often we obsess over knowing when Jesus will return or if we are living in the “End Times.” We must take this initial response from Jesus seriously. There are some things that are not for us to know and if we are seeking to know the wrong thing we might actually miss the work the Lord has for us.
