A Year in Luke/ActsНамуна

As Luke is setting up the narrative that will follow, it is so important to notice the overlapping of Heaven and Earth. In Acts 1 the process begins, as is always the case, with Jesus. He goes from Earth to Heaven. In Acts 2 the movement is from Heaven to the disciples on Earth.
NT Wright says:
“In Acts 1, heaven and earth are joined together in a new way, with a part of earth - Jesus’ physical body - now being exalted in heaven. Now, in Acts 2, we see the breath of heaven coming to animate people on earth. This joining of heaven and earth, the very thing for which Jesus taught his original followers to pray, fulfills God’s original intention" (p20, The Challenge of Acts).
