A Year in Luke/ActsНамуна

When we over spiritualize sections of scripture, we can make it a matter of personal salvation rather than the true story of the whole world. Rather than expecting to be snatched away, or swayed by people saying “look at this!” or “this is where God is moving!” we should focus on the fact that Jesus said: “the kingdom of God is among you” (v21). When we do the simple, everyday things of being faithful to God — loving our neighbour, bearing the Spirit’s fruit, and being steady despite what is happening in the world — we will find ourselves in the best position to hear God’s warnings when things get dark.
