A Year in Luke/ActsНамуна

If you are doing this plan in a year, it might be Palm Sunday, the Sunday before Easter, when you read this devotion.
John 12:12-16 is the passage that narrates when Jesus rides into Jerusalem on a donkey, after his long journey to Jerusalem that we are reading about in Luke’s gospel. The people shout:
““Hosanna!
Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord—
the King of Israel!”
The word hosanna means “Lord save us.” This is a great summary of our chapter for today. It is not about our knowledge of knowing when we are going to be snatched away and escape difficult events, but about trusting that salvation belongs to Jesus. When we truly, deeply know this we can receive salvation with gratitude, like the Samaritan.
