God's Redemption Story (The Church: Part 2)Намуна

1 & 2 Thessalonians – Day 1
Thessalonica was a big, bustling port city on a major Roman trade route. Thessalonians had easy access to goods, news, and philosophies from all over the world. The new Christians were easily influenced by the world around them and returned to their old ways. So Paul reminded them that God offered more than a philosophical approach to life. He sanctified them—cleaned and changed them.
We have the same easy access to things and ideas across the planet. When we surf social media and tune into the 24-hour news cycle, are we drawn to the impurity of the world or are we letting God sanctify us? Here’s a challenge: One time each day this week, before you get on the internet, stop and spend 2 quiet minutes with God instead. Read your Bible, pray, or just sit quietly and listen for His voice. Do you notice any change in yourself?
