God's Redemption Story (The Church: Part 2)Намуна

Hebrews (1) – Day 4
Throughout Hebrews, the author repeatedly refers to Jesus as our High Priest and compares Him to the priests of the Old Covenant. The priests of the Old Covenant were human men. Although they made sacrifices for others, they were sinners who needed forgiveness for themselves.
Jesus is the only Priest who never made a sacrifice on His own behalf. Although He never sinned, He experienced the same kinds of temptations we do. In Him, we have been given the Perfect Priest, the Only Mediator we need. We must be careful not to place other people in the position only Christ should hold in our lives.
As sinners, we can often feel unworthy to approach the Lord, but when we are in Christ, we are clothed in His Righteousness and have Him as our Mediator. With Jesus as our Perfect Priest, we can be in Right Relationship with the Father.
