Finding Peace in an Imbalanced WorldНамуна
Remain
Jesus sees us, knows us intimately, and has compassion for us. He desires to commune with us, satisfy our souls, heal, and change us. But this is conditional on our acceptance of His invitation. He creates opportunities; we are responsible for taking hold of the miracle of our relationship with Him.
You may be hearing about a relationship with Jesus for the first time, or, like me, you may have had an intimate relationship with the Lord for decades. Even so, sometimes, I feel disconnected and far from His presence. Why do we revert to hiding? What are we running from? I want to learn to sit at His feet like Mary, and I want to help you do the same.
Christ came to set us free! The gospel is filled with lavish, unmatched, unconditional love. Jesus laid the foundation for a personal relationship with us. The gospel isn’t about our behavior; it’s about our relationship with the Savior. We will forever be ongoing works of progress through sanctification.
Whether you feel like Martha or Mary, calling on Jesus is necessary; don't let another day pass without talking to God. He is waiting for you; go to Him.
Remember, it’s not about “being good.” It’s knowing our place as sons and daughters of the King and pouring ourselves out to Him. Trying to impress God with our performance is an insult to the price Jesus paid for us to come as we are, filthy rags, and still be called the righteousness of Christ.
God reminds me far too often that I can do nothing without Him. However, I am grateful for the reminder, for we will only be satisfied and sustained when we remain.
“A blessed woman is rooted in God and not circumstances. No matter the season, she is sustained by God’s Word and presence.” - Cherish Ingalls
Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me not to perform for you but to wholeheartedly love you and ultimately receive your love for me. It’s sweet perfection when I look into your reflection. I need you, oh how I need you. Lavish your love on me once again. Keep my feet steady. Keep me grounded. Remind me of your goodness, and help me remain in you. Let me rest in your presence. Keep me balanced in this imbalanced world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

About this Plan
We find our footing, belonging, purpose, and peace in and through a relationship with Jesus. You wouldn’t expect a relationship to thrive if communication was sparse, and time together was disposable. The further we move away from God, the harder the distance feels to regain. Unlike our earthly relationships, this is simply not the case with God. The moment we return, we are welcomed with beautiful restoration.
