What a Jesus!Намуна
Knocked out by Jesus
Apparently, the end of the world will be a lot like the day Mike Tyson fought Marvis Frazier. In 1986, a young Mike Tyson fought the son of boxing legend Joe Frazier, and ABC’s Wide World of Sports was eager to see if Marvis could knock out Iron Mike. But then the bell rang...and Marvis didn’t win. In fact, I’m not sure he even threw a real punch. Tyson’s meaty uppercut smashed into Frazier’s face and knocked him unconscious. Referee Joe Cortez started to count to ten but decided it was over at five. The official bout lasted 30 seconds, the fastest knockout of Mike Tyson’s career.
That’s what will happen with Jesus. You might think the end of the world, when every evil force gathers to fight against Jesus, will be a nail-biting event, but you’d be wrong. Revelation 19 doesn’t give us a blow-by-blow recap of that battle but instead simply says: “But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed the signs on its behalf...The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. The rest were killed with the sword coming out of the mouth of the rider on the horse” (verses 20,21). Oh. That’s it? Our fiercest enemies will be KO’d by Jesus just like that.
The devil may be a powerful foe, stronger than you, but he is not stronger than Jesus. Cling to Christ and your biggest spiritual enemies will be knocked out sooner than you think.
