Holy Song: 3-Day Devotional With Bethel MusicНамуна
Read the Scripture, listen for a word or phrase that the Holy Spirit highlights for you. Write that word or phrase down.
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, "My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday." Psalm 91:1-6
And they were calling to one another: 'Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory." Isaiah 6:3
Now listen to the song and consider how it carries the message of Psalm 91:1-6 + Isaiah 6:3.
Read the lyrics. Ask the Holy Spirit to highlight a word or phrase for your reflection.
Verse One:
What joy to know You Lord, to walk within your ways
To live beneath the shadow of Your wing
Faithful you will lead me and I won’t fear a thing
You alone my song will always be
Chorus:
Holy, holy, holy,
Is the Lord God Almighty
Worthy, worthy, worthy.
All of the earth is full of your Glory
RESPONSE:
In the secret place of the Most High, we are called to abide. An invitation not merely to visit, but to dwell, to make our home in the shadow of the Almighty. We are not simply to encounter Him, rather, we must respond in light of our encounter.
Isaiah’s vision brings us face to face with the holiness of God—utterly transcendent, yet intimately close. “Holy, holy, holy,” the seraphim cry, echoing through all of creation. What a mystery: the God who is beyond all comprehension chooses to dwell with us. It is this overwhelming reality that shapes our response. We are drawn into worship, not from cold obligation, but as a warm outflow of encountering the Holy One.
In this, our song becomes an offering of surrender. To know Him is to trust Him, and in trusting Him, we find that fear loses its grip. As we live under His wings, we come to understand that faith is not the total absence of fear, but the assurance of God’s unwavering presence. And it is in His presence that we are transformed—our lives becoming a testament to His glory.
PRAYER:
Father, we come before You, not as those who understand all things, but as those who trust in Your unfathomable goodness. Teach us what it means to dwell in Your presence, to rest beneath the shadow of Your wings, where fear cannot rule and trust is our constant companion. Lord, let our hearts cry with the angels, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty.” Shape us by Your holiness, that our lives might reflect Your glory in the mundane and the sacred alike. May we walk in the knowledge of Your nearness, allowing Your love to guide our steps and Your peace to settle in our hearts. Amen.
